FABRICO Recognized at Iloilo City Hall: Celebrating Local Creativity Through Streetwear
Not Every Streetwear Brand Begins the Same Way.
Streetwear has long been an industry dominated by men. Many brands are built around hype, trends, or fashion itself.
FABRICO began with a different purpose.
It was never just about creating clothes. It was about creating something that represents a city, its people, and the stories that deserve to be worn with pride.
Every design is inspired by Iloilo, created not only for Ilonggos but also for every visitor who falls in love with the city. We hope that when tourists return to their hometowns, they bring home more than a souvenir. We want them to carry a piece of Iloilo with them and remember the warmth, creativity, and beauty of the city every time they wear FABRICO.
A Dream Built by Two Breadwinners
Behind FABRICO are two women who understand what it means to build something from the ground up.
Owner Elyca Mae Tansi, a proud Ilongga, has always believed that Iloilo deserves to be seen beyond its famous landmarks. While working different jobs over the years, one question continued to stay with her.
"How can I share the beauty and identity of Iloilo with more people?"
That question eventually became the foundation of FABRICO.
Beside her is Co-Owner Trisha Mae Capusi, originally from Laguna, Philippines. Although she grew up outside Iloilo, the city eventually became a place she proudly calls home.
What started as a new chapter in her life soon turned into a deep appreciation for the city's culture, the kindness of its people, and the creativity that surrounds it. Iloilo welcomed her with open arms, and in return, she chose to become part of its story.
Beyond being business partners, Elyca and Trisha share another important role. Both are breadwinners for their families.
They understand the sacrifices that come with carrying responsibilities while pursuing a dream. Every collection they release represents countless late nights, difficult decisions, and an unwavering belief that building something meaningful can also create opportunities for the people they love.
More Than Streetwear
Every FABRICO collection begins with a story.
Sometimes it comes from a familiar Ilonggo expression. Sometimes it comes from the city's streets, traditions, or everyday moments that only locals truly understand.
Our goal has never been to simply sell shirts.
We want every design to become a conversation starter. A reminder of home for Ilonggos living elsewhere. A meaningful keepsake for visitors who experienced Iloilo. And a way to introduce the city's culture to people who have never been here before.
Every shirt is an invitation to discover Iloilo.
A Meaningful Recognition
Recently, FABRICO had the privilege of meeting Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas at Iloilo City Hall.
Sharing our story with the city's leadership was a proud moment for our team. It reminded us that local businesses have the power to represent Iloilo far beyond its borders.
We are sincerely grateful to Mayor Raisa Treñas for supporting local entrepreneurs and recognizing brands that continue to celebrate Ilonggo creativity.
This Is Only the Beginning
FABRICO is more than a clothing brand.
It is a love letter to Iloilo.
It is for every Ilonggo who proudly represents the city wherever life takes them.
It is for every traveler who wants to bring home something more than a souvenir. We hope that every shirt becomes a reminder of the places they explored, the people they met, and the warmth they experienced in Iloilo. Long after their visit, we want them to remember just how beautiful this city truly is.
For Elyca, Iloilo has always been home.
For Trisha, Iloilo became home.
Together, they built FABRICO with one shared purpose. To tell the story of a city they both love, each from a different journey, but with the same heart.
Their story is proof that passion is not defined by where you come from, but by the place you choose to champion.
This is only the beginning of our story.
Born in Iloilo. Worn Everywhere.
At FABRICO, we don't just create clothing.
We create pieces that carry the story of Iloilo, wherever life takes you.
